Typeface Design

"What is more human than human?"

This question, drawn from Blade Runner, guided my exploration of the balance between human and machine. I developed a typeface inspired by Cuneiform and Mesopotamian type, some of the earliest human writing systems. Through this, I examined how letterforms evolve when filtered through technology and returned to the physical world.

Using digital tools, I created and refined the forms before translating them back into physical media. With hot glue, I produced positive stamps that revealed each character, imperfect and textured. These impressions became relics of both process and translation, ancient yet digital, human yet mechanical.
